Watch Warriors is one of the selected projects to participate in Bridging the Gap 2017

Today, in Madrid, were announced the eleven projects which will occupy a vacancy in the international animation laboratory Bridging the Gap (BTG), and Watch Warriors has been selected to participate in its third edition! 

This year, BTG will be held from July 16th to 22nd 2017 in Tenerife, and it is aimed at skilled animation students and professionals from all over the world interested in developing their own projects with help from animation industry experts.

During the days of the course, our producer, Marcos Martín, will participate in different activities such as conferences and personalised consulting meetings, given by several prestigious professionals of the sector. It should be noted that Watch Warriors was picked among more 105 projects from 29 countries!

Furthermore, these are the confirmed mentors: Belli Ramírez (Mr. Cohl), Charlotte De La Gournerie (Sun Creature Studio), Eleanor Coleman (Indie Sales), Enrique Vázquez (Átomo Network), Eric Goossens (Walking the Dog), Guadalupe Arensburg (Movistar+ Spain), Guillermo García Carsí (one of the Pocoyo’s creators), Hernán La Greca (Cartoon Network Latin America), Manuel Cristóbal (Dragoia Media), Nicolás Schmerkin (Minuit’s author), Niko (founder and director of Nikotxán), Paco Rodríguez (Media Training y Consulting), Shamik Majumdar (The Walt Disney Company), and Yago Fandiño (RTVE).

This event is organized by the International animation laboratory Bridging the Gap (BTG), an initiative promoted by professionals of the animation area, with the support of the Spanish Cooperation, through the ACERCA Training Program for the Development in the Cultural Sector, the collaboration of the International Latin American Foundation for Public Administrations and Public Policies (FIIAPP) and sponsored by Cabildo de Tenerife through Turismo de Tenerife and the Science and Technology Park INtech Tenerife and with the collaboration of TLP Tenerife.

The lab aims to strengthen and boost the internationalisation of animation projects from all over the world and to facilitate the creation of international partnerships and networks.
